Terms and conditions


All cats must be vaccinated and certificates produced and left with Purr’s Inn Cattery for the duration of the stay.  The vaccinations must include Feline Infectious Enteritis and Feline Influenza which has to be done 5 weeks before their stay.

We do not accept nursing or pregnant cats.

We only accept neutered male cats over the age of six months.

Collars need to be removed before arrival.

Flea and worming treatments must be up to date.

All cats must be in a secure and safe pet carrier which will be kept by Purr’s Inn Cattery for the duration of the stay.

Cats must be fit and in a healthy condition on arrival, any cats showing signs of ill health will be refused boarding.

If your cat show signs of fleas or worms appropriate treatment will be administered and charged accordingly.

We reserve the right to contact a veterinary practice for advice and subsequent treatment if we have concerns.  In the first instance we will contact veterinary practice specified on your booking form, however we have a contract with a local veterinary practice if we are unable to contact them, fees may be applicable.  We will only administer medication on the authority of the owner or emergency contact person, and if your cat is happy for us to do so.  Any fees incurred as a result of a pre-existing condition will be the responsibility of the owner and must be settled by the owner at check out.

All medications to be administered must be clearly marked with the cat’s name, instructions for use, dosage rates and times, and accompanied by details of the condition being treated.

Public liability insurance is provided although it is always advisable that cats are individually insured by their owners.  Our insurance covers veterinary bills up to our policy limit of £1,500 per cat.

Booking Fees

A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total booking fee will be charged to secure your accommodation.  If you cancel your booking within 14 days of the start date you will be charged the full balance.

Inspections and check in and check out

Inspections are invited by appointment during our business hours.

We try to tailor check in and check out times to suit our clients’ individual needs, please give us your required time on booking form and we will try to accommodate your requirements.

No check in or check out appointments will be made on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Easter Sunday

Contract between owners and Purr’s Inn Cattery

Payment of a deposit confirms your booking.  By paying the deposit you are agreeing to our terms and conditions.

The booking fee will be charged as listed above. The booking fee is non-refundable.

The balance of boarding fees is required on check in.

Fees are charged per day and are inclusive of the day of arrival and day of departure.

Cats sharing accommodation must be from the same household and do so at the request of the owners.

In the case of a cat not being collected within seven days of the agreed collection date with no communication from the owner or the emergency contact we reserve the right to gift the cat for re-homing. 

Double room rate is charged on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day, Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

In the event of your cat’s needing to stay beyond the dates you have booked please telephone us as early as possible to see if we have a room available.  If you are late collecting your cat without having agreed this in advance we will contact your emergency contact to collect your cat on your behalf.  Your emergency contact must be aware that they may be required to care for your cat if you are unexpectedly delayed.
